JUMA
Arabic and nordic folk songs, traditions and tales are linked together through the six-person orchestra Juma.
Playing to shape and welcome the sound of cultures meeting when people travel, Juma is an orchestra dedicated to the meeting of Arabic and Scandinavian cultural heritage. With live hand percussion, accordion, oud, drums, contrabass, guitar and electronics, and with songs and text from both regions, sufis are connected to hymns as a common musical language resonates from the orchestra on stage to the audience and back again.
