BARROW

Mikkel Bøggild is one of the few here in Denmark who has a voice like Springsteen, writes songs that moves the listener, and above that, he’s also a skilled guitarist who has played with and produced for the greatest singer in the country. With BARROW he has built a unique band that powers through both on record and on stage. Now, in 2021, they are ready with their 3. album which carries the title ‘Crowded Room’.

AYSAY

Luna Ersahin is born into a life with two cultures. With a Danish mother and Kurdish father from Turkey, her voice rests in a story of the whole in the two halves. As front woman in the trio AySay it is the same message that is delivered in a captivating sound universe where eastern and western traditions are mixed. The trio's music seeks to challenge and find new harmonies where boundaries are broken in a present and open way.

THE KUTIMANGOES

The internationally recognized Copenhagen-based ensemble, The Kutimangoes, takes Afro Jazz to a new level. Their 3. album ‘Afrotropism’ joins African traditions with European modernism. Their uplifting live concerts bring them on tours through Europe, Asia and Africa as well as the stages on Roskilde Festival And Reeperbahn and no matter where The Kutimangoes play they always leave a happy audience who’s wanting more.

JUNGLELYD

Junglelyd is once again ready to embrace the Danish venues with heavy bass grooves , hypnotizing rhythms and an experiementing lust for playing that is out of this world. From dansable electronic excesses to ritual tribe music, tropical flytes, horn and surf guitar the band's sound univers stretches way beyond the Latin American cumbia traditions that lies underneath as a constant, warm, pulsating rhythm.

HVALFUGL

Moving Nordic folk jazz with deep roots in the common rhythms we all share. The Aarhus based trio, Hvalfugl, takes the stage to create a musical sanctuary centering feelings of presence and connectedness through scales, tones and moods. Instrumental music made up of dreams and filled with lyrical melodies full of warmth, heart and sensitive melancholia.

ABEKEJSER

With their new album ‘Blueprint’ centering as stepping stone, Abekejser returns to their adventurous party jazz with playful ambition and talent fueled by creative fantasy. Video game inspiaartions meet wavy synths, heavy electronic bass and surfing guitar. Being one of more highly skilled names from the impressive instrumental Aarhus scene, Abekejser crafts music, that transport the audience to new world one track after the other.

The concert is presented in collaboration with Danish Vibes.

A FO!

Female energy takes center stage, as A Fo! – All Female Orchestra brings their virtuosity and innovative compositions to the spotlight. Combining soulful West-African song tradition with experimental improvisation, throat singing and irresistible dance grooves, A Fo! travels from Mali to Estonia, Denmark to Finland bypassing all geographical and cultural borders with their transcending love for music from all across the globe.

BJONKO

Balkanbeat crossovers controlling the dance floor. With technical superiority, high pace and wild energy, Bjonko is reviving balkanbeat music with sparks of modern pop, rock and hiphop. Two decades into his musical career, Bjonko stands as one of the most complete and accomplished composers and arrangers of the Balkan traditions on the Danish scene. True the heritage of his clarinet and saxophone, Bjonko is as much a highly skilled musician as a true party starter.

SORTEN MULD

Sorten Muld takes on their own impressive legacy and redefine their legendary electronic sagas on the 2021 album ‘Mark IV – lånt tid’. Nordic middle age ballads in electronic productions weaved with the patience of trip hop and the edge of techno. Instruments and inspirations from the Middle East have found their way to the soundscapes, pushing Sorten Muld to represent a new Scandinavian sound, that is just as relevant, striking and immersive now as it was in the 90’s bloom of the orchestra.

EL UNIVERSE

Producer and multi-instrumentalist Anders Bo Eriksen meets producer and trumpet player Ruhi Erdogan to create kaleidoscopic expressions of strong folk traditions, electronic dreams and heavy club music. El Universe invites the audience alongside all of the Danish music scene to enter their underground universe and join a hypnotic party of wedding bangers, jazz experiments and wild club productions.
