Y-Otis
Genre-bending liquid jazz of tomorrow. Berlin-based saxophone mastermind Otis Sandsjö guests Aarhus under his alias Y-Otis.
Fresh off his second full length album, Y-Otis is ready to take on det turkise telt for a whirlwind of a saxophone concert. The sophomore effort is released by the respected We Jazz Records in Helsinki, and is an album galore off ideas and details. Otis’ sound can be described as an ‘audio mosaic’ fusing together a selection of micro moods, inspired as much by hiphop and electronica as by jazz. Hypnotizing saxophone riff and fragmented jazz style brings strong melodies and funky beats.
